  • ECONOMIC ABUSE WILL FINALLY BE RECOGNISED AS DOMESTIC ABUSE

  • DOMESTIC-ABUSE VICTIMS WILL NO LONGER BE CROSS-EXAMINED BY THEIR ABUSERS IN COURT

  • PERPETRATORS COULD BE SUBJECT TO THE EXTENDED POWERS OF THE DOMESTIC ABUSE PROTECTION ORDER (DAPO) ON RELEASE

  • CLARE’S LAW WILL BE ELEVATED TO STATUTORY STATUS, MEANING POLICE WILL HAVE TO DISCLOSE PAST CONVICTIONS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE

  • FURTHER FUNDING TO PROTECT VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE WILL BE PUT IN PLACE
